JJoining Meritan in May 2026, A’ndrea Leavy is a dynamic and results-driven leader with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the private sector, education, and state government.

Known for her strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style, she has built a career centered on organizational effectiveness, program development, and empowering teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities they serve.

A’ndrea earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Lambuth University and later obtained a Master of Education degree. Her academic background in education laid the foundation for her passion for professional development, leadership cultivation, and organizational growth.

In 2016, A’ndrea began her career in state government as a Deputy Regional Administrator with the Department of Children’s Services.

She later joined the Tennessee Department of Human Services in 2019 as the West Tennessee Area Director for Vocational Rehabilitation, where she provided leadership and oversight to program supervisors and field staff across the region. During her tenure, she worked closely with community partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaborative relationships that supported employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. She also represented the agency on national platforms, highlighting Tennessee’s partnership with the Department of Mental Health. A’ndrea continued to expand her leadership responsibilities as Assistant Director of Vocational Rehabilitation, where she oversaw statewide operations supporting the program’s mission of helping individuals with disabilities achieve meaningful employment.

Throughout her career, A’ndrea has been recognized for her ability to lead complex initiatives, strengthen organizational infrastructure, and build high-performing teams.
