Meritan Helps FFTA Host First Ever Virtual Conference!

Great news! Arkansas Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) will be hosting its first ever virtual AR Chapter FFTA Institute in 2021. The planning process is underway, but the exact date is still to be determined. Meritan AR, along with approximately a dozen other Treatment Foster Care agencies comprise the Arkansas chapter. Meritan Arkansas Foster Care has been a member agency for two decades. The primary objective of the Institute is to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to deliver high quality family focused treatment services and interventions to children and families that are served both inside and outside of the formal child welfare system. Our conference highlights the breadth of treatment family care and adaptation in any family setting, including bio, kinship, treatment foster care and adoptive homes. Our workshops are focused on partnering with families to address the treatment needs of children and youth while concurrently preserving families, stabilizing children, preparing and supporting resources families, achieving permanency, building resiliency and engaging communities (FFTA, 2021).
