Seventeen-year-old twins Davon and Tavon had been in foster care with Meritan since August 2017 and finally had their dream come true of being a part of a forever family. In foster care placement, the boys had made significant progress in school and even gained part-time employment. Their adoption was finalized in June 2020.

Big League Movers Move Meritan

On Thursday morning, February 6, 2020, Big League Movers sent out two employees, Tanner and Brontavious, to perform a pro bono move for one of Meritan’s clients. The Meritan client is an elderly man who receives wrap-around care coordination from Meritan as a part of the United Way of the Mid-South’s Driving the Dream program. The client needed assistance moving his things out of his storage unit and into his apartment in Memphis. He was paying $150 per month to utilize that storage unit and needed the money to support his family.
